eVOA Bali 2026 — Apply Online Before You Fly

The Bali eVOA is the online Visa on Arrival, costing IDR 500,000 (~USD 35) for a 30-day stay, extendable once. Apply at evisa.imigrasi.go.id from 90 days to 48 hours before departure — up to five applicants per session — and skip the airport VOA queue on arrival in Bali.

What Is the Bali eVOA?

The eVOA (electronic Visa on Arrival) is the online version of Bali’s Visa on Arrival. It is the exact same visa — same 30-day validity, same single entry, same IDR 500,000 government fee — but instead of queuing at a counter when you land, you apply through Indonesia’s official immigration portal evisa.imigrasi.go.id before you fly and receive an approved e-visa PDF by email.

In 2026 the eVOA is the route we recommend to almost every short-stay visitor. It removes the single biggest friction point of arriving in Bali — the on-arrival visa queue, which can be long after a red-eye flight — and it lets you confirm your visa is approved before you travel, rather than hoping everything goes smoothly at the airport.

The eVOA is valid for 30 days from your date of arrival and can be extended once in-country for a further 30 days, for a maximum stay of 60 days. Like the airport VOA, it is single-entry and does not permit any work or paid activity in Indonesia.

As a licensed agency, Juara Holding Group can prepare and submit your eVOA, check every field before submission (a single typo in your passport number can invalidate the visa), and handle your extension if you decide to stay longer. For travellers who want zero risk on a tight schedule, that peace of mind is the whole point.

Who Is the eVOA For?

The eVOA suits the same travellers as the VOA — but it is especially valuable for:

  • Anyone who wants to skip the airport queue. Arrive, walk straight to immigration, and get your stamp.
  • Families and groups. You can process up to five applicants in a single online session — ideal for couples and families travelling together.
  • Travellers on tight connections who can’t afford to lose an hour at the VOA counter.
  • Visitors who want certainty. Your visa is approved and emailed before departure, so there are no surprises on arrival.
  • VOA-eligible nationalities — the same ~97 countries eligible for the VOA (Australia, USA, UK, Canada, most of the EU, and more). Check your by-nationality guide.

The eVOA is not the right choice if you need to stay beyond 60 days (use the B211A Visit Visa), or if you intend to work, freelance or earn income in Bali (you need a KITAS or the C5A Creator Visa).

Bali eVOA Requirements 2026

The documents are the same as the airport VOA, but you upload them online instead of presenting them at a counter.

How to Apply for a Bali eVOA — Step by Step

  1. Confirm eligibility and gather documents. Check your nationality is eVOA-eligible and prepare a passport scan, photo, onward ticket and accommodation details. Our team verifies all of this first.
  2. Create an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Register on the official Indonesian immigration portal (or let us submit on your behalf). Apply 48 hours to 90 days before departure.
  3. Complete the application and upload documents. Enter passport and travel details exactly as they appear in your passport — accuracy is critical. Add up to five applicants in one session if travelling together.
  4. Pay the IDR 500,000 fee by Mastercard, Visa or JCB. Each applicant is charged the government fee.
  5. Receive your e-visa PDF by email within roughly 1–5 business days. Print it or save it to your phone — and on arrival, walk straight past the VOA counter to immigration for your entry stamp.

Don’t forget to also complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card{rel=nofollow target=_blank} within three days before arrival, and pay the Bali Tourist Levy.

eVOA-Eligible Countries 2026

Around 97 nationalities are eligible for the Indonesian VOA/eVOA. The list includes most major source markets for Bali tourism:

  • Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
  • North America: United States, Canada, Mexico
  • Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Ukraine, and more
  • Asia: Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India
  • Other: South Africa, Brazil, and many more

Some nationalities are not eVOA-eligible and must apply for a different visa (a “calling visa”) through an embassy. The eligible list can change, so always confirm before booking flights. We publish dedicated by-nationality guides with each country’s exact rules and currency-localised pricing — or message us to check your passport in seconds.

Common eVOA Mistakes to Avoid

These are the errors that cause delays, refusals or trouble on arrival — all of which our checks prevent:

  • Typos in passport details. A mismatched passport number or name between your eVOA and your passport can invalidate the visa. Enter data exactly.
  • Applying too late. The eVOA must be submitted at least 48 hours before departure. Last-minute applications risk not being approved in time.
  • Using an unofficial website. Only evisa.imigrasi.go.id is the official portal. Lookalike “visa” sites overcharge or steal card details — a common 2026 scam. Read how to avoid Bali visa scams.
  • Forgetting the Arrival Card. The eVOA does not replace the All Indonesia Arrival Card — you need both.
  • Assuming you can extend twice. The eVOA extends only once (to 60 days total). For longer, choose the B211A.
  • Planning to work. The eVOA is tourist-only. Working on it is illegal and enforced in 2026.

Extending Your eVOA

Your eVOA can be extended once, in-country, for a further 30 days — giving a maximum stay of 60 days. Apply before your current visa expires. Since May 2025, the extension requires an in-person biometric appointment (photo and fingerprints) at a Bali immigration office.

Bali Visa Trusted manages the entire extension: we book your biometric appointment, prepare the paperwork, and keep you compliant. If you need to extend your stay for 30 more days, start the process at least a week before expiry to be safe. Staying longer than 60 days requires a different visa — usually the B211A Visit Visa.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bali eVOA

How long does the Bali eVOA take to process?
Typically 1–5 business days after submission. Apply at least 48 hours before departure — and ideally a week or more — so your approved e-visa PDF arrives in good time. Bali Visa Trusted submits accurately the first time to avoid delays.

Is the eVOA cheaper than the airport VOA?
No — both cost IDR 500,000 (~USD 35), the official government fee. The eVOA’s advantage is convenience: you apply online before flying and skip the on-arrival queue, not a lower price.

How many days does the Bali eVOA give me?
30 days from your date of arrival, extendable once for a further 30 days (60 days maximum). It is single-entry, so once you leave Indonesia the visa is used up.

Can I apply for an eVOA for my whole family at once?
Yes. You can process up to five applicants in a single eVOA session, each paying the IDR 500,000 fee. This makes the eVOA ideal for couples and families travelling together.

Which website is the official eVOA portal?
Only evisa.imigrasi.go.id, run by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration. Avoid lookalike sites that overcharge or harvest card details. If you’d rather not risk it, Bali Visa Trusted submits through the official portal on your behalf.
