Can I extend my Bali visa without leaving Indonesia?

Yes. Most Indonesian visas extend in country: the VOA and eVOA once, the B211A more than once, and a KITAS annually. Since May 2025 each extension needs one in-person biometric appointment.

What is the in-person biometric rule?

Since May 2025 you must attend a Bali immigration office yourself for a photograph and fingerprints. It cannot be done remotely or by an agent on your behalf. We handle the paperwork, the filing and the booking around that single visit.

How much does an extension cost?

A VOA or eVOA extension starts at USD 119 all in, with the official IDR 500,000 government fee included. A B211A extension starts at USD 219. KITAS renewals vary by type and are quoted in writing.

How many times can I extend a B211A?

More than once, but the exact limit is set by immigration and applied at the issuing office's discretion. We confirm the current limit for your case rather than quoting a number that may not apply to you.

At least seven days before expiry, and ideally ten. That leaves room for the biometric appointment and for any query immigration raises on the file.

Can I extend my Bali visa?

Yes, and doing it on time is the single best way to avoid the expensive trap of overstaying. What you can extend depends on what you are holding.

One rule changed everything. Since May 2025 you cannot extend most visas entirely online: you must attend a Bali immigration office in person for a photograph and fingerprints. It caught a lot of residents off guard.

VOA holders start here

VOA and eVOA: Once, for thirty days, to a sixty day ceiling.
B211A and C1: More than once. The limit is set by immigration.
KITAS: Renewed annually, until you qualify for a KITAP.
E33G nomad visa: Not renewable. You re-apply rather than extend.

VOA and eVOA: Once only, plus thirty days, sixty day ceiling
B211A / C1 visit visa: More than once, plus thirty days each, limit set by immigration
Working KITAS (E23): Annual renewal for the life of the permit
Investor KITAS (E28A): One to two years, renewed against the permit validity
