If you are paid, you need a work permit, usually the Entertainment KITAS for instructors. A tourist visa does not cover paid teaching, however informal.

Can I volunteer at a retreat?

Volunteering has its own route, the C6 social and cultural visa. It is not the same as a tourist visa and it does not permit payment.

The C5A Creator Visa covers filming and monetised content. A tourist visa does not, and social media is actively monitored in 2026.
