What the Retirement KITAS actually is

Age and income decide the E33F, not work. It is a permit to live here on money earned somewhere else.

Both the E33F and the E33E lead to KITAP once the renewals have run their course, so the first filing is worth getting right.

KITAP permanent residence
55 and over
The E33E Silver Hair route opens at 60.
USD 3,000 a month
A pension or equivalent steady income.
One local worker
Typically a household helper or driver. An Indonesian requirement, not ours.
No work here
Income generating activity in Indonesia is not permitted.

Who it is for

Pension funded retirees settling in Bali rather than visiting it.

What it costs

All in, government fees included. Requirements set by regulation, such as deposits and shareholdings, sit outside this and are yours to hold.

  • Retirement KITAS E33F One year, renewable, all in USD 1,290
  • Silver Hair E33E deposit Held in a state bank, not paid to us USD 50,000
  • Bank balance required Held by you USD 2,000
  • Bali Tourist Levy Separate government charge IDR 150,000

Government fees are inside our figure. Deposits and balances are eligibility tests you hold yourself.

How it goes

Five steps, and the income evidence is the one that takes time.

  1. 01

    Confirm the route

E33F at 55, Silver Hair at 60, Second Home if neither fits.

  2. 02

    Gather income evidence

Pension statements or equivalent showing USD 3,000 a month.

  3. 03

    Rental and insurance

A Bali rental agreement and cover valid in Indonesia.

  4. 04

    Filed for you

Through the official portal, with sponsorship arranged.

  5. 05

    Permit issued

Then a year, renewable, with KITAP on the horizon.

Best for

E33F Retirement
Steady pension income
E33E Silver Hair
Five years without annual renewals

A steady pension points to the E33F. Capital and a preference for stability point to the Silver Hair. Under 55 neither applies, and the Second Home Visa is the route.

Three things retirees underestimate

None of them are expensive. All of them cost time.

The local worker is mandatory

One employed local, typically a helper or driver. It is part of the permit rather than a suggestion.

Ask us how it works

Income evidence must be steady

A single large transfer is not the same as USD 3,000 a month. Immigration is looking for a pattern.

Renewals build KITAP

The permanent residence clock only runs on an unbroken chain of permits. A lapsed year resets more than it appears to.
