The Overview

The simplest way in

The eVOA is the simplest legal way into Bali for a holiday or short visit. The government fee is IDR 500,000 (~USD 35) for a 30-day stay, extendable once in-country for a further 30 days — 60 days in total.

Apply online at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before you travel and you skip the VOA payment queue at Ngurah Rai airport altogether. Around 97 nationalities qualify for the VOA/eVOA in 2026, and our USD 79 done-for-you service files it error-free.

The Detail

How the eVOA works in 2026

§ 01

eVOA vs VOA at the airport

The eVOA is approved before you fly, so you land, walk to immigration and skip the payment queue completely. The fee is identical either way — IDR 500,000 — but the online route removes the one thing travellers dislike most: a long line at the counter after a long flight.

§ 02

Extending your 30 days

Your 30 days can be extended once, in-country, for another 30. Since May 2025 the extension requires an in-person biometric appointment at the immigration office — we book the slot, prepare the paperwork and attend it alongside you.

§ 03

What it does not allow

The VOA/eVOA is for tourism and short visits only. It carries no right to work, paid or unpaid — a restriction actively enforced in 2026 by the Dharma Dewata task force. If you intend to earn in Indonesia, we’ll place you on the correct work or business visa instead.

Visa on Arrival FAQ

Visa on Arrival, answered

The questions travellers ask most about the Bali VOA and eVOA in 2026.

What is the cheapest way to get a Bali visa in 2026?

The Visa on Arrival is the most economical route: the government fee is IDR 500,000 (~USD 35) for 30 days. Applied as an eVOA online before you travel, it also saves you the airport queue. Our fully-managed eVOA service is USD 79 all-in, government fee included.

Is it better to get a Bali visa online or at the airport?

Online. The eVOA is approved before you fly, so you skip the VOA payment queue at Ngurah Rai entirely and walk straight to immigration. The fee is the same IDR 500,000 either way, but the online route is faster on arrival and removes the risk of a filing error at the counter.

How long can I stay on a VOA?

30 days, extendable once in-country for a further 30 — 60 days in total. Since May 2025 the extension requires an in-person biometric appointment, which we book and attend with you. The VOA/eVOA is single-entry and permits tourism and short visits only, with no right to work.
